Founded in 1997, BIG is UC Berkeley's oldest undergraduate investment club, managing a $140,000 long/short equities fund. Members join weekly Thursday meetings featuring equity pitches, educational presentations, and guest speakers from across finance. The core experience is the semester-long intern program, where interns spend 10-15 hours per week learning financial modeling, fundamental analysis, and stock pitching with the goal of becoming full officers who manage real money.
