No. DAIRE welcomes students from all disciplines. Current members come from backgrounds including finance, design, social sciences, and traditional real estate. What matters most is enthusiasm and commitment to advancing equity in real estate.

Is there a membership fee?

Accepted Answer

No. DAIRE does not charge a membership fee. Career Treks to visit real estate firms are also fully funded, at no cost to members.

What does a typical week actually look like as a member?

Members attend weekly general body meetings featuring workshops and guest speakers, plus a separate weekly Real Estate Education Series session matched to their experience level. Throughout the month there are also social events, and each semester includes one to two Career Treks to visit top real estate firms.

Question 4

What is the DAIRE Development Program (DDP), and can I join it?

The DDP is a leadership training program for existing DAIRE members who want to take on national-level roles. Participants intern under each National Board member to learn the organization's operations and may eventually shape new initiatives. The next cohort is scheduled to begin in Fall 2025, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

What happens after graduation? Is there an alumni network?

Alumni are encouraged to stay connected through DAIRE's LinkedIn alumni group and social media channels. The group keeps former members updated on events and career opportunities within the DAIRE community.
