Cal Celerity is UC Berkeley's first and only Vietnamese traditional dance team, founded in 2021. Members learn and perform authentic dances including Lotus, Fan, Hat, and Umbrella/Handkerchief styles using classical Vietnamese fundamentals. No prior dance experience is required. The team performs at campus showcases and Bay Area cultural events, collaborates with other cultural dance organizations, and uses a fam and big/little system to build close community off the stage.
