Salsa at Cal
Dance·Education
Salsa at Cal is Berkeley's Latin dance community, built around a for-credit DeCal course (History, Culture and Practice of Salsa Dance) held Mondays at Hearst Gym. Beginner and intermediate sections teach footwork, partner communication, and styling with no prior experience or partner required. Beyond class, a competitive Performance Team tackles choreography in Salsa, Bachata, Rueda, and Colombian Salsa styles, with club events like Salsaween and Salsa Tropi-Cal open to the broader community.
