Do I need to be a core member to get anything out of Anre?

No. General membership is open to all Berkeley students and takes only a few minutes to join. General members can attend workshops and events. Core membership is a separate, optional track for those who want to work on consulting engagements, research, venture pods, or operations.

What is the venture track, and how is it different from a typical club project?

Accepted Answer

The venture track puts small pods of six students in charge of building a real AI product from concept to a live, shipped MVP in 16 weeks. Each pod is led by one or two project leads. There is no simulated client and no slide deck standing in for a product, teams are expected to ship something that actually exists when the sprint ends.

Can members publish research through Anre?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Anre operates a Research Archive that hosts papers and preprints from student researchers, and members can collaborate with faculty and industry labs on publishable work. One paper on predicting gas giant exoplanets using machine learning has already been published there.

Anre's engineers, advisors, and alumni come from or work alongside Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, NASA, PwC, US Bank, Berkeley AI Research Lab (BAIR), Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, MathWorks, Endor Labs, and Algoverse.
