SAAS is a machine learning community at UC Berkeley built around three tiered project committees. Data Foundations teaches ML/DS fundamentals and closes with a team project. Data Mentorship pairs members with a client project and heavy director mentorship. Data Consulting has members working in teams of 6-8 on advanced AI/ML projects for real industry clients like GitHub, Spotify, and Autodesk. Members also get a Big/Little mentor, socials, retreats, and professional development workshops.

Retreat
Overnight trip at the start of each semester. Members sleep over, hang out at a lake, and bond with the broader club community. Described by multiple members as one of the best ways to make friends in SAAS.

Semester Banquet
End-of-semester banquet for members. Held each semester (Spring and Fall).
