Catholics at Cal is the student fellowship of Newman Hall, a Catholic parish steps from campus run by Dominican friars. Students attend Mass, Confession, and Eucharistic Adoration, and join small groups like Bible studies, a Rosary group, and men's and women's faith groups. The Student Ministry Team of 11 student leaders organizes events and service projects. The community connects UC Berkeley students across majors and backgrounds with a shared focus on growing in faith and building lifelong friendships.

Loaves and Fishes Monthly Dinner
A monthly dinner serving community members including homeless neighbors. Recent dinners served 66-83+ guests with home-cooked meals.
Dominican Institute of Student Ministry (DISM)
Multi-day all-day event held in the Newman Lounge, Kitchen, and Multiversity. Scheduled July 16-20.
Women in Conversation (WiC) Gatherings
Bi-monthly Saturday gatherings on the second Saturday of September, November, January, March, and May. Open to women of all ages; 9am coffee and potluck, 9:30am-noon program with talks, small-group discussion, and prayer. Typically 30-60 attendees.
YAPS Lecture Series
Lecture series for Young Adult Professionals (ages 22-40). First lecture on different notions of beauty from Aristotle to the present. Newman Lounge, 6:20pm. Snacks and beverages provided.
Sunday Hospitality after 10am Mass
Weekly coffee and treats gathering on the Newman Plaza after the 10am Sunday Mass. Open to all, continues through summer.

July 4th Picnic and Fireworks (Disciples on the Road)
Picnic at 6:30pm and fireworks at 9:30pm at Crissy Field, East Bluff Picnic Area. For Newman grad students. Bring a food item to share, a picnic blanket, and layers.
