Nazakat is UC Berkeley's premier Kathak dance team, focused on North Indian classical dance that fuses intricate footwork with facial and hand expressions. Members perform self-choreographed routines that blend traditional Kathak with modern music. The club competes and performs for campus and broader Berkeley audiences, collaborating with other student performing arts groups. Only students with prior Kathak training are eligible to join.
