Cal Lightweight Rowing is the only team in the western United States dedicated to men's and women's lightweight rowing, competing at the regional and national level. No prior experience is required: novices learn to row at the start of the season and are racing within two months. Practices run weekday mornings from 5:30-7:30am and Saturday mornings from 8:30-11:30am out of the Oakland Estuary boathouse, about 15 minutes from campus.
