Cal Sailing Team is a competitive racing team founded in 1922, the second oldest club sport at Cal. Members practice three days a week on FJ sailboats at Richmond Yacht Club on the San Francisco Bay and compete in PCCSC regattas against schools like Stanford, USC, and University of Hawaii. Regattas take members to San Diego, Hawaii, the East Coast, and beyond. While previous sailing ability is highly encouraged, no prior experience is required, but members are expected to compete almost immediately.
