SCUBA at Berkeley organizes biweekly dive trips to Monterey's waters, plus semesterly special and tropical trips. Open to all students, faculty, and staff with no prior experience required. Members can get their first SCUBA certification at a discounted rate through the club, access gear discounts, and dive alongside experienced buddies. Before trips, members pass a written safety exam and gear knowledge test, then attend a mandatory pre-trip planning meeting.

Member Experiences
Biweekly Monterey Dive Trips
Regular dive trips to Monterey, run every other weekend when conditions allow. Requires passing a safety exam and attending a pre-trip planning meeting.
Semesterly Special and Tropical Trips
Advanced and tropical dive trips offered once per semester. Past destinations have included Hawaii. Advanced trips require at least 40 logged dives and Advanced Open Water certification.
SCUBA Certification Sessions
Certification opportunities offered to members at a discounted rate through Bamboo Reef or other dive instruction professionals. Fall 2024 sessions were in progress.
