Cal Archery, founded in 2005, is one of the first recreational collegiate archery teams on the West Coast. Beginners can join ASCENT, a structured program where advanced archers coach newcomers in compound, olympic recurve, and barebow styles. All equipment is provided. Experienced archers can join the competitive team and represent UC Berkeley at the national collegiate level. Open practice hours are available at the Golden Bears Softball Field near Clark Kerr.
