Do I need prior experience to join?

It depends on the committee. The Data Science Committee has no prerequisites. The Machine Learning Committee requires Data 8 or equivalent, and the Project Committee requires both Data 8 and Data 100 (or equivalents).

What is the difference between the three committees?

The Data Science Committee covers foundational topics like SQL, Pandas, data visualization, and data cleaning. The Machine Learning Committee focuses on ML concepts like model validation, random forests, and cross-validation. The Project Committee tackles an advanced technical project combining both data science and machine learning, with a final group presentation at the end of the semester.
