UC Berkeley IEEE, established in 1912, is one of the most active engineering student organizations on campus. Members join committees, work on hardware and software projects, and attend company info-sessions and recruitment fairs. The club also runs four student-taught DeCal courses: Micromouse (autonomous maze-solving robots), HOPE (PCB design), APE (advanced PCB design), and EECS151 Tapeout (chip design). Open to undergrads and grad students across all engineering disciplines.

HOPE Project Showcase
End-of-semester showcase where HOPE students present their PCB design projects. Fall 2025 showcase ran from 2:00-5:30 PM with presentations from 3:00-5:30 PM.
APE Project Showcase
End-of-semester showcase for APE students to present advanced PCB projects. Spring 2025 showcase archived online.
IEEE Competitions and Hackathons
Members participate in IEEE-affiliated competitions and hackathons.
Micromouse Competition
Micromouse DeCal students build autonomous maze-solving cars to the standards of the IEEE Micromouse competition.
