Q: Who can join APISW Caucus?

The caucus is open to MSW students at UC Berkeley who self-identify as Asian and/or Pacific Islander.

Q: Why was this caucus formed?

It was formed because social services catered to the broad API community are sparse and limited, and because API students lacked representation and a dedicated community space within the MSW program.

Q: What does the caucus offer members day to day?

Members have a safe space to build community with each other, network as emerging social workers, and reflect on their experiences both in and out of the MSW program.

APISW Caucus is a group of MSW students at UC Berkeley who self-identify as Asian and/or Pacific Islander. Members network with fellow emerging social workers of API backgrounds, reflect on shared experiences inside and outside the MSW program, and build community in a space designed to uplift API voices within a program that lacks representation of this community.
