Sigma Omicron Pi is the first Asian American interest sorority at UC Berkeley and the first national Asian American interest sorority, founded in 1930. Built on four pillars of unity, friendship, leadership, and service, members participate in philanthropy events, sisterhood retreats, formals, and community service. The Big/Little program, pledge class traditions, and annual events like the Tahoe trip and senior banquet form the core of a close-knit sisterhood described as a 'home away from home.'
