BJELL is a student-edited law journal focused on workers' rights, publishing twice yearly on topics like employment discrimination, labor law, and employee benefits. Members edit articles by scholars and practitioners, can submit book reviews and case notes for publication, and help bring major speakers to campus. Members also get access to networking events with Bay Area practitioners, summer fellowship opportunities, and up-to-date job listings in the workers' rights field.

Annual lecture presenting a scholar or practitioner to speak about their work in labor law, aimed at bringing attention to the study and practice of American labor law.
Biennial Symposium
Most recent symposium was titled 'Get Up, Stand Up! Taking Action for Immigrant Workers' (2026). A prior symposium, 'Return to Work: How the Pandemic Changed Labor and Employment Law,' was held on March 29, 2022, 10am-4:15pm, via Zoom.
