NALSA at Berkeley Law is a student-led affinity group for Native and Indigenous law students and their allies. Members attend monthly general body meetings, study sessions, and lunches, participate in panel discussions with practitioners and judges on federal Indian law, and attend the Federal Bar Association's Federal Indian Law Conference in Albuquerque. Annual highlights include the Indigenous Peoples Day Sunrise Ceremony at Alcatraz and a graduation ceremony honoring graduating members. The club also works closely with Berkeley Law's Center for Indigenous Law and Justice.

Annual ceremony honoring graduating members. In 2025, seven graduates were honored and over 75 guests attended, including keynote speaker Assembly member James C. Ramos.
Panel Discussions on Federal Indian Law
On-campus panels featuring practitioners, judges, and academics on topics related to federal Indian law and tribal law.
National NALSA Moot Court Competition
Members compete in National NALSA's annual Moot Court Competition. In 2026, Berkeley NALSA plans to send two teams.
National NALSA Moot Court Competition (hosted at Berkeley, 2020)
In 2020, Berkeley NALSA hosted the National NALSA Moot Court Competition. Over forty teams and 140 judges participated on the Berkeley campus.
Federal Bar Association's Federal Indian Law Conference
Annual conference held in Albuquerque, NM. Members attend to meet practitioners, hear updates on federal Indian law, and connect with NALSA chapters from other schools.
