Abolitionist Collective at Berkeley is a law student organization committed to the abolition of prisons, police, and surveillance, along with the social and material conditions that sustain them. Members examine the connections between legal academic institutions and the colonial, capitalist, and carceral state. The collective offers a community space grounded in abolitionist values for law students who want to critically engage their role in these systems and work toward a future that doesn't rely on cages to keep people safe.
