ANova sends Berkeley student mentors into middle and high schools around the East Bay to teach computer science. Each mentor develops individualized curriculum for their partner site, with the goal of increasing equitable exposure and accessibility to the tech space. Members visit partner schools on a weekly basis and work across committees that support teaching, curriculum development, and club operations. New members (called "Anewbies") are welcomed each semester.
