Do I need to apply to join B PsychEd?

No application is needed to become a general member. Just fill out a simple interest form and you will be added to the Slack and email list. Committee membership does require a brief application and a higher level of commitment.

Do I have to be a psychology major to join?

No. B PsychEd welcomes everyone regardless of major. The executive team itself includes students on pre-med, pre-law, and double-major tracks.

What do committee members actually work on?

Each of the seven committees takes on a semester-long project. For example, the Clinical Psychology committee runs an empirical project on determinants of chronic mental health issues in Bay Area undergraduates, while the Social Psychology committee runs a journal club. Other projects include volunteering at local elementary schools.

How often does the club meet?

General meetings are held every other Tuesday. Committee meetings are held on the alternate Tuesdays when there is no general meeting. Attendance at general meetings is not mandatory for general members.

What resources does B PsychEd provide for navigating the psychology major?

The club maintains a shared Notion with course recommendations for psychology and breadth requirements, study groups, and tutor connections. The resources page also links to major requirements, professors' lab listings, Berkeley Time, and a sample major map.
