Casa Joaquin Murrieta is a residential leadership program founded at UC Berkeley in 1970, housing 40 low- and moderate-income, first-generation undergraduates per year in an affordable, all-inclusive living environment blocks from campus. Residents receive mentorship through the Greenlining Leadership Academy, academic support, and opportunities to develop leadership skills around racial equity and social justice while building lifelong friendships and professional networks.
