The CNMAT Users Group is a mostly graduate student group working in coordination with staff and faculty at UC Berkeley's Center for New Music and Audio Technologies. Members contribute to special projects, facilities and software upkeep, and concert production for the ECO Ensemble and Berkeley New Music Project. Working at the intersection of music, technology, and research, members gain hands-on experience in a lab that merges the laboratory and the stage to extend the boundaries of present-day music-making.

Full-day event on generative AI in audio with speakers from Meta, NVIDIA, Adobe Research, MIT Media Lab, and Cai.audio. Space limited to 30 attendees. Livestreamed.
Korean Experimental Music Festival (KEMF) at UC Berkeley
Multi-venue festival blending traditional Korean instruments from the National Gugak Center with emerging technologies. Ten performances across UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, and Stanford. All concerts free and open to the public. November 11-16, 2025.
Counter-Pedagogies of Forgetting
Photo exhibition, immersive sound installation, bilingual panel on memory and human rights in Peru, and live music by Trio Chakana. 10am-5pm, March 6, 2026, at 1750 Arch St.

International Computer Music Conference (ICMC 2025)
CNMAT faculty, staff, students, and alumni presented papers and performances over 7 days at Northeastern University, NEC, Berklee, MIT, and Emerson College in Boston. June 2025.
