Laya of Berkeley

Music·South Asian

Laya of Berkeley is a performing music club founded in 2015 that brings Carnatic and Hindustani classical music to Cal and the Bay Area. Vocalists and instrumentalists perform pure classical pieces as well as fusions blending classical Indian styles with Western and other world genres. Members rehearse in subgroups, perform at campus events, and help host professional artists for lectures and concerts open to the broader community.
