Mariachi Luz de Oro is UC Berkeley's student-run mariachi group, founded in 2013, performing traditional and modern mariachi music across the Bay Area. Members play instruments including violin, trumpet, vihuela, guitar, and guitarrón at charitable events, private bookings, campus celebrations, and community events. The group welcomes student musicians from all majors and backgrounds, and provides loaned instruments, accessories, and traditional trajes de charro for performances.
