Frontera at Berkeley centers on the U.S.-Mexico border region — its policy, culture, and migrant experience. Members raise awareness about border and immigration issues on campus, foster open discussion about discrimination and the migrant crisis, and develop a "fronterize" identity that honors the transnational bond between both sides of the border. The goal is to turn Berkeley students into active, informed participants in national-level policy conversations.
