GSSA is the student org for Global Studies majors and minors at Berkeley. Members attend monthly Professor Fireside Chats for informal conversations with faculty in Stephens Hall, join weekly Solution Sessions on Mondays to work through career skills and real-world case studies, and participate in Connec-t-erviews, a peer interview series where students share their experiences studying abroad and building careers in global issues. Open to anyone interested in the Global Studies community.

Solution Sessions
Weekly 1-hour workshops on Mondays 7-8pm covering career paths, case studies, project management, budgeting, and guest speakers. Open to Global Studies students.
Professor Fireside Chats
Monthly informal conversations with a featured Global Studies professor, held in 442 Stephens Hall for 60-90 minutes with light refreshments. Past guests have included Professors Peter Bartu, Darren Zook, Clara Nicholls, and others.
Connec-t-erviews
Monthly peer interview series pairing Global Studies students and community members for informal coffee chats about studying abroad, academics, and career paths. Completed interviews are published on the department website and GSSA Instagram.
