Kids in Nutrition (KIN) is a nationwide, student-led organization that trains university volunteers as KINstructors to teach a seven-week nutrition curriculum in local Title I elementary school classrooms. Teams of 3-5 KINstructors visit once a week for one-hour lessons covering food groups, nutrition labels, and sustainable eating. Members gain hands-on teaching experience, a one-hour training session before the program, and community service hours while working toward food justice and health equity.
