Media Studies Student Association
Education
MSSA is a student-run organization for UC Berkeley Media Studies majors, founded in Spring 2024 to fill a gap in major-specific support. Members get access to alumni panels, resume and career workshops, study sessions, and peer networking. Joining as a general member requires no application. Students who want a more active role can apply to committees in marketing, events, or outreach to work on real initiatives alongside board members.

Adobe x MSSA Event
Valentine's-themed creative and social night in February co-hosted with Adobe, featuring Olipop drinks, a photo backdrop, and learning from Adobe representatives.
MSSA Sticker Design Competition
Open design competition for any student passionate about art or design. Submission deadline was 11:59 PM on Sunday, March 15th. Winner receives free professionally printed stickers, full credit, and their design featured across all MSSA social channels.
Media Production Skills Workshop
Hands-on workshop focused on media production skills with expert guidance. Held at the David Brower Center.
Digital Storytelling Workshop
Immersive workshop on digital storytelling techniques led by industry professionals, held at MLK Student Union.
Cult Classics Film Screening
