The UC Berkeley chapter (Epsilon Mu) of Omega Psi Phi, founded nationally at Howard University in 1911, centers on four cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Members run safe-sex and health awareness workshops, high school mentoring and tutoring, voter registration drives, feeding the homeless, and scholarship fundraisers. Weekly study groups support a 90%+ graduation rate. Alumni include attorneys, Silicon Valley senior managers, and a UCLA neurosurgeon.
