WYSE mentors travel weekly to local middle school sites to lead group sessions with young mentees using a program-specific curriculum built around decision-making games, in-depth discussions, and community action projects. Beyond group sessions, mentors take mentees on one-on-one outings to build trust and lasting relationships. Members gain hands-on youth mentorship experience while directly supporting middle schoolers in the Berkeley community.

WYSE Week
Annual nationwide celebration each April. Branches run themed events for mentors and mentees; recent years included career panels, college exploration sessions, virtual Smithsonian field trips, and alumni career panels open to mentors and alumni across branches.
WYSE Future Options Day
Signature special event for mentees, described as WYSE's flagship quarterly special event alongside museum field trips, college campus visits, and environmental excursions.
Member Experiences
