EWOCC is one of the longest-running conferences in the nation addressing the needs and concerns of womxn of color, founded in 1985 by UC Berkeley undergraduates. Each year, a student planning committee organizes a full-day event at Pauley Ballroom featuring keynote speakers, hands-on workshops on healing and self-determination, panel discussions, live entertainment, and a vendor fair spotlighting women-of-color-owned businesses. Joining the planning committee means taking ownership of a specific area like catering, workshops, panelists, or social media.

Empowering Womxn of Color Conference (EWOCC)
Annual full-day conference held at Pauley Ballroom, UC Berkeley. Includes keynote speakers, morning and afternoon workshops, panel discussions, live entertainment, a vendor fair featuring women-of-color-owned businesses, catered meals, and opening/closing ceremonies. Open to all, with intentional focus on womxn of color. The 41st annual conference was held March 14th, 2026; the 40th was held in 2025.
