ASUC Sustainability Commission

Environmental/Sustainability·Community Service/Nonprofit·Education

STeam is an ASUC special program founded in Fall 2005 that creates and implements projects promoting sustainable practices on campus. Members join project committees, each working as a tight unit on distinct initiatives like Ethical Eats (rating local restaurants by sustainability), elementary school environmental education, and Sunstock, a solar-powered music festival. The whole team meets weekly to share progress, and members can pitch their own project ideas.
