Cal Surfrider is the UC Berkeley chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, dedicated to protecting oceans, waves, and beaches through direct action and campus advocacy. Members work across multiple campaigns each semester: beach cleanups along Bay Area shores, the NoSolo initiative to eliminate single-use plastic cups on campus, an Art Committee that creates environmental awareness through creative projects, and a Sustainable Speaker Series featuring nonprofits, musicians, and surfers who advocate for the environment.
