Bioprinting at Berkeley

Bioprinting at Berkeley is an interdisciplinary undergraduate team that works on hands-on tissue engineering and 3D bioprinting projects. Members join one of several active project teams, such as building a biomimetic bionic arm, a handheld BioPen for rapid hydrogel prototyping, or a biodegradable 3D-bioprinted heart valve. The club also runs a DeCal course where students design no-cost prosthetics for shelter animals in the Bay Area. All majors and experience levels are welcome.

Splash at Berkeley: Bioprinting: Future of Medicine
Club members teach a class for local high school students visiting UC Berkeley, including a hands-on activity crosslinking hydrogels. Spring 2022 mentors included Natalie Celt, Ashvin Irrinki, Vitto Resnick, and Shotaro Yamaguchi.
BioEHSC Workshops
Club hosts classes and workshops for BioEHSC high school competitors after their competition, including hands-on sodium alginate hydrogel crosslinking activities. Spring 2022 mentors included Natalie Celt, Shobhin Logani, and Vitto Resnick.
Cal Day Demonstration
Represented the UC Berkeley Bioengineering Department at Cal Day 2017 with an interactive hydrogel and crosslinking demonstration open to the public.
