Chinese People Union (CPU) is one of Berkeley's largest Chinese student organizations, founded in 2002 to serve Chinese international students and build community for those far from home. Members join one of nine departments spanning culture events, social bonding, marketing, academic and career development, media, and more. Activities include KCON (a campus singing competition), a night market, photography contests, resume workshops, an internal career fair, and regional meetups for students in China before they arrive.
