Cal Concrete Canoe is UC Berkeley's first civil engineering competition team, where members build an actual concrete canoe and race it at the annual Mid-Pacific Regional Competition each spring. Members join one or more divisions covering construction, materials design, hull and structural analysis, graphics, and paddling. A weekly 2-unit DeCal covers project management and technical fundamentals. The team welcomes all majors and builds a close-knit community through division meetings, social events, and a strong alumni network.
