Junior Care Clinic is a student-run org that brings free health education and screenings to underserved youth in Oakland and Richmond. Members join one of five committees: Medical, Dental, Vision, Public Health, or Women's Health. Each committee visits local elementary and middle schools, community resource fairs, and partner events to run hands-on presentations, conduct screenings, and distribute supplies. Work is split between on-the-ground outreach and behind-the-scenes curriculum development.

Neighborhood Empowerment Day 2024
Annual resource fair run by ROOTS Community Health in East Oakland. JCC's Dental, Medical, and Public Health committees provided screenings (blood pressure, vitals, vision) and educational activities including health bingo and dental demonstrations. September 28, 2024.
Nystrom Elementary School Visits 2024-2025
JCC committees visited Nystrom Elementary to deliver hands-on health education to students in grades 1-6, covering first aid, dental hygiene, vision screenings, and public health topics.
Ford Elementary Vision Screenings
Vision Committee conducted vision screenings for students at Ford Elementary in Richmond.
DeJean Middle School Presentations
Dental and Women's Health committees visited two classrooms at DeJean Middle School, covering oral health, tooth anatomy, vaping impacts, energy drink impacts, and topics including friendships, emotional wellbeing, and self-respect.
Lotus Bloom Family Presentations
Medical and Public Health committees presented to parents at Lotus Bloom in Oakland, addressing child health, healthcare misconceptions, and mental health for mothers.
YWCA Know Your Body Day
Joint event with YWCA where Women's Health Committee educated children on puberty, hormones, and navigating healthy relationships.
Community Resource Fairs
Multiple committees participate in resource fairs across the Bay Area, providing vision screenings, dental demonstrations, public health education activities, and distribution of menstrual products and hygiene supplies.
Member Experiences
Dental Committee Bracelet Making Social
Members make bracelets together as a social event. The bracelets are then used at community event tables and given out in goodie bags.
