Tau Beta Pi

Tau Beta Pi is the nation's oldest engineering honor society, open to the top eighth of engineering juniors and top fifth of seniors at Berkeley. Members get access to a student-run exam and syllabus database, resume critiques, professional development workshops, and company info sessions. Each semester includes over a dozen social and service events, from botanical garden cleanups to dodgeball, plus a house competition system that puts candidates in smaller groups to bond.

Company Info Sessions
TBP's Industrial Relations committee works with company representatives to host recruiting info sessions on campus, serving 10-15 companies per semester. Includes room reservation, food, and cleanup.
Resume Workshop
Spring 2026: Wed, Mar 18, 5:00-7:00 PM, Evans 71. Open professional development workshop for candidates and members.
Botanical Garden Cleanup
Spring 2026: Sat, Mar 14, 9:15 AM - 1:00 PM, UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. Volunteer service event focused on fuels reduction and fire abatement in the Redwood Grove. Candidates must participate for a minimum of two hours for service credit.

House Competition
Spring 2026: Thu, Mar 12, 7:00-9:00 PM, VLSB 2062. Candidates compete against other houses in challenges throughout the semester, culminating in the House Cup presented at banquet.
