UPE is UC Berkeley's computer science honor society, backed by both ACM and IEEE, and open to the top third of declared CS majors by GPA. Beyond recognizing academic excellence, UPE runs free professional services for all Berkeley CS students: resume reviews, mock technical interviews, career mentorship, and academic advising. The chapter also hosts company tech talks, info sessions, and career fair events each semester, connecting students with employers ranging from trading firms to tech companies.

EECS Career Fair
UPE participates in the EECS Career Fair as part of its industry relations programming.
Company Tech Talks and Info Sessions
Campus-wide tech talks and info sessions hosted in venues such as Wozniak Lounge, HP Auditorium, or Sibley Auditorium, typically 6-8PM. Attendance ranges from 30 to 150 students depending on company and time of year.
Coffee Chats and Competitions
UPE hosts coffee chat and competition events with industry partners as part of its 8+ events per semester lineup.
