The MCP+MPH concurrent degree program at UC Berkeley trains professionals at the intersection of city planning, public health, and public policy, with a focus on urban health equity. Students combine coursework across Public Health departments and City Planning concentrations, exploring how the built environment shapes health outcomes around food, housing, transportation, and more. The student committee connects current dual-degree students, supports interdisciplinary community-building, and maintains ties to alumni working in planning, public health, and advocacy.
Events They Host
Urban Health Equity Seminar
A year-long seminar series open to students, faculty, and practitioners at the intersection of public health and city planning. Formats include lectures, group workshops, film screenings, and critical debates. Students may take it for credit through SPH or DCRP.
