CSGSA serves the CS graduate student community at Berkeley by running orientation programs, academic support, and social events throughout the year. Members get access to weekly social hours with free food, prelim review sessions, a reading room stocked with CS textbooks, a big sibling matching program for incoming students, spring and fall picnics, bar nights, and faculty-student lunches. The club also represents grad student opinions to department faculty.

Experiences in Industry Panel Series
A panel series for grad students on careers in industry, advertised as starting September 25.
Visit Day Party and Post-Visit Dinner
CSGSA hosts an introductory party and post-visit dinner for prospective CS graduate students during Visit Day. Past events held at Henry's, 2600 Durant Avenue.
Prelim Review Sessions
Practice preliminary exam sessions organized at the beginning of every semester, including mock one-on-one format exams in different areas.
Member Experiences
Weekly Social Hour
Held Wednesdays at 3:00 PM in the Wozniak Lounge. Features donuts, bagels, cream cheese, and other food. Budget of approximately $100 per week.
Weekly Movie Night
Held in 306 Soda Hall. Schedule accessible to those within the EECS domain or via LDAP login.
Spring and Fall Picnics
Semester picnics for grad students. BBQ budget described as typically $500.
Post-Prelim Party
Social event held after prelim exams.
Bar Nights
Regular bar nights organized by the Social Committee Bar Night subgroup. Area reserved in a local bar ahead of time. Run as budget permits.
Faculty-Student Lunches
Lunches coordinated between faculty and graduate students at the Faculty Club or Women's Faculty Club. Each lunch includes 2 professors and 4 graduate students.
Fall Orientation Party
Orientation event for new CS grad students at the start of each fall semester. Past event held at Bear's Lair (August 21, 2007).
Student Gripe Sessions
Semesterly sessions where grad students can raise concerns and feedback to be relayed to department faculty. Run jointly by the President and Treasurer.
