Saving Hearts Foundation at Berkeley works to prevent sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in young adults ages 12-35 through education, prevention, and action. The Berkeley chapter organizes free heart screenings at local high schools, where members help identify undiagnosed cardiac anomalies. Screenings include blood pressure checks, EKG assessments, echocardiograms, cardiologist consultations, and optional CPR/AED training. Members gain hands-on public health experience while making a direct community impact.
