A collection of workshops for UC Berkeley sociology graduate students to present, workshop, and get feedback on ongoing research. The Gender/Sexuality Workshop meets roughly every three weeks throughout the semester for shared readings, discussions, feedback on works-in-progress, and ASA submission review. A Job Market Workshop also runs throughout the academic year to help students navigate job openings, application materials, and recommendation letters.

Job Market Workshop
Held throughout the academic year for sociology grad students. The spring session introduces students to the job market, covering how to find job openings, prepare application materials, and request and submit letters of recommendation.
Member Experiences
Coworking Space Sessions
Open coworking time for Gender/Sexuality Workshop members, held roughly every other week alongside presentation sessions. Spring 2026 sessions run 12:00-2:00 PM.
Presentation and Feedback Sessions
Members present works-in-progress and receive feedback from a designated discussant and the group. Spring 2026 sessions run 12:30-2:00 PM, roughly biweekly.
