Students vs Pandemics at Berkeley focuses on spreading awareness and improving communication about a different disease each semester through education and outreach. Members join one of two committees: Public Health Research (writing articles paired with a graduate student), or Outreach (serving as a mentor in our high school mentorship program, teaching at the Berkeley Splash Event, and/or volunteering at food banks/distributing food and supplies to houseless populations in Berkeley). Members can join as many committees as they like.

Events They Host
Professional Speaker Panel
The club hosts a virtual speaker panel once a semester involving either graduate students or professors. The speakers describe their own academic journeys and provide the club members insight into having a career in their field.
Splash Event Presentations
Members teach local high schoolers at Berkeley's Splash event.

End-of-Semester Banquet
Held at the end of each semester. Date listed as TBD for Fall 2026.
